ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan24) – A young goat has found a happy life with a Kurdish family, even sleeping with the children at night.

Qaysi, Kurdish for apricot, is the name of the 2-month-old goat.

He lives in a house with a Kurdish family in the town of Haji Omaran, northwest of the Kurdistan Region capital Erbil.

“I bought him when he was 3-days-old,” Hamza Hussein told Kurdistan24 on Tuesday. “He is always around inside the house.”

He added Qaysi is highly sociable with his family and accompanies them when they go out.

“When I go on a trip, I have to hide from Qaysi first otherwise he will follow me,” Hussein continued.

“He does not leave a mess inside the house. We wash him twice a week,” he said.

Ronya, Hussein’s daughter, told Kurdistan24 she loves Qaysi very much.

“When I go to school, I have to return soon because I miss him,” she said.

Ronya mentioned at night Qaysi sleeps with her. “I also give him milk.”
