PHOTOS: Bookshop on busy street attracts locals in Sulaimani
ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – On the sidewalk of one of Sulaimani’s streets, a man runs a small bookstore that attracts the city’s people who pass by on their nightly stroll in the area.
Salim Street’s busy nightlife has prompted the opening of many hangout spots along its sidewalk, more specifically, in the area known as Saholaka.
At the outdoor cafés, groups of people gather around, chatting about different topics, enjoying the refreshments and snacks vendors offer.
The bookstore attracts would-be readers of Kurdish works, some of which are translated writings of western classics.
The shop also shelves multiple rows of books along with a few chairs and tables where people can relax and glance over some of the writings available.
