LONDON, United Kingdom (Kurdistan24) – A former Technology Advisor to the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) was recently appointed the Managing Director of a British-based Information Technology (IT) company.
Restrata, a company focused on safety and security consultancy and training services, officially named Botan Osman to lead its operations.
Before his role with Restrata, Osman was the Technology Advisor to the Prime Minister and Head of Information Technology at the KRG.
Osman joined Restrata in 2013 as Country Director for the Kurdistan Region and was the Global Director of Business and Development before his recent promotion.
“He brings a wealth of experience and an impressive track record in the technology, safety and security, and business continuity in both the public and private sectors,” an official Restrata press release read.
The company’s Chairman Chris St. George was enthusiastic about Osman’s capabilities in his new role.
“[Osman] assumes the role of Managing Director at an exciting time in our development,” he stated.
Regarding his new position, Osman said he was “pleased” with the opportunity to lead Restrata “at this exciting stage.”
“I’m honored to be heading up such a well-respected and influential organization,” he said.
“I hope to be able to make a valuable contribution to on-going and future initiatives,” Osman added.
During his time with the KRG, Osman founded the Department of Information Technology and led several other initiatives.
