ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan24) – Hundreds of people participated in a Halloween event hosted in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region, on Oct. 31.
The event was organized inside the Family Mall, a key shopping district in the Kurdistan Region.
The occasion was welcomed by hundreds of people, including the expats currently living in the Region.
Men, women, and children were dressed in different customs, some painting their faces similar to well-known movie stars.
“The event drew the attention of visitors inside the mall,” Rawand Hussein, the Marketing Manager of Family Mall, told Kurdistan24.
The Halloween even was the largest in Kurdistan and Iraq where thousands of people participated with their creative costume ideas.
Visitors enjoyed live rock music, magic shows, dance performances, free face-painting, free Halloween gifts, and free masks.
There was also a competition where the 10 best Halloween outfits were chosen and prizes handed out from the Nasspay Company and Loan Collection.
“Family Mall has always been the most active mall in the Kurdistan Region that hosts various local and international events, and will continue to do so,” Hussein concluded.
