MOSUL, Iraq (Kurdistan24) – One of the Islamic State’s (IS) largest graveyards was discovered in eastern Mosul where about 3,000 militants had been buried.

Kurdistan24 correspondent Hemin Dalo, accompanied with eyewitnesses, explored the IS graveyard where the insurgent group buried most of their militants’ bodies.

“They were executing strict security measures around the area while bringing bodies to bury here,” one of the eyewitnesses told Kurdistan24.

According to him, IS would often bring a truck full of deceased militants to bury them in the graveyard.

“Each time, they were preparing 40-50 graves to bury their militants,” the eyewitness added.
