On Saturday night, a car bomb exploded in the province of Kirkuk, killed and wounded 11 people.

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – On Saturday night, a car bomb exploded in the province of Kirkuk, killed and wounded 11 people.

The car bomb exploded in Kirkuk’s al-Adan neighborhood, on the Baghdad road, killing at least one people and wounding 10 people, Kurdistan 24 Correspondent in Kirkuk said.

The province is one of the disputed territories between the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and the federal government of Iraq which is currently administrated and protected by the KRG.

Kirkuk and other disputed territories that are currently under the protection of Peshmerga forces are included in the upcoming referendum on the independence in the Kurdistan Region.
