ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – The Iraqi Ministry of Industry and Minerals on Monday announced a rocket test that reached 15 kilometers.
In a statement, the military company in the ministry announced the missile test was “completed.”
The missile contained 350 kilograms of explosives, according to the ministry.
The statement mentioned the missile “met the requirement of military specifications.”
The ministry had previously manufactured various types of ammunition and weapons to support Iraqi forces in the fight against the so-called Islamic State (IS).
It is believed to be the first Iraqi missile test since the removal of the dictatorship system in the country in 2003.
