ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) - A delegation of the Kurdistan Region met with the Prime Minister of Iraq Haider al-Abadi on the sidelines of Munich Security Conference (MSC) on Saturday.

The delegation consisted of the Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani, Chancellor of the Kurdistan Region Security Council (KRSC) Masrour Barzani, head of the Department of the Foreign Relations (DFR) Falah Mustafa, and the Chief of Staff of the Kurdistan Region Presidency, Fuad Hussein.

Both sides discussed issues between Erbil and Baghdad, as well as the recent dialogue intended to resolve disputes peacefully, and to do so in accordance with the Constitution of Iraq.

Relations between the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and the Iraqi government drastically deteriorated immediately following the Sep. 25 referendum in the Kurdistan Region.

It is the third meeting between Barzani and Abadi since last year's independence vote.
