ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – The Kurdistan Region's Tuni Baba gorge is again attracting tourists eager to witness the striking natural formation amid eased COVID-19 lockdown measures, namely those on tourism.

Tuni Baba, located to the south of the city of Darbandikhan in Sulaimani province, is a long, scenic, and often steep valley that contains several water sources along the way.

It is a destination that has been gaining in popularity in recent years with tourists, especially in the summer when the dry ground at the bottom of the gulch is more conducive to hiking. At some points, the valley is wide and at others, the pathway narrows considerably.
