MOSCOW, Russia (Kurdistan24) – On May 9 of every year, Russia celebrates the 1945 defeat of Nazi Germany to honor those who fought and died defending their country.

On Tuesday, Russia held a massive military parade with over 10,000 forces marching through Moscow, an event commemorating the end of World War II in Europe.  

During the event, the President of Russia Vladimir Putin called on countries around the world to work together to prevent war.
