Dani Carvajal gifts a special jersey to his Kurdish doppelganger via Kurdistan 24

ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – The Spanish defender for Real Madrid FC on Wednesday sent a signed jersey of his as a gift to his doppelganger in the Kurdistan Region via Kurdistan 24.

Kurdistan 24 previously published photos of some top football players’ lookalikes in the Kurdistan Region, including Ali from the city of Soran, who is known as Ali ‘Carvajal.’

Dani Carvajal, the player in question, was shown photos of his Kurdish doppelganger by the Spanish club, prompting him to have a special jersey made with the name ‘Ali Carvajal’ on it. He signed it as a gift to send to his lookalike in Soran via Kurdistan 24’s sports correspondent, Shukur Mohammed.

While signing the jersey, Carvajal told Kurdistan 24 that he was shocked to see the photos of Ali and how they looked so alike. He added that while he had very little information on Ali, he was happy to have the jersey made especially for him, according to Mohammed.

Beyond the similar looks, Ali shares a birthday with Dani Carvajal, both born on January 11. His love for the Real Madrid defender also pushed Ali to teach himself Spanish, in the hopes he eventually met Carvajal and could converse with him.
