WATCH: Kurds hold international Arabian horse fair

Some 38 of the best Arabian horses from various countries competed in 11 categories in the Kurdistan Region.

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan24) - An international competition dedicated to the Arabian horses was held on Friday and Saturday in the Erbil International Equestrian Club, Kurdistan Region.

Some 38 of the best Arabian horses from various countries competed in 11 categories in the Kurdistan Region, strengthening sports, culture and international ties.

The horses competed in categories of two to four years of age, and four to six.

Seven-year-old horses had their own category of competition and male and female horses raced in their distinct shows.

The horses were judged based on the beauty of their head and neck, body, legs and movement and overall muscles.

Russia sent three horse to the Region for the fair. Jordan and the Arab Emirates also participated.

The judges arrived from Italy, Iran, Egypt, Syria and the Arab Emirates.

The exhibition offered visitors a wide range of examples of breed versatility for their enjoyment.
