In a devastating series of missile attacks, Russian forces targeted cities across Ukraine, causing extensive damage. The country’s largest children’s hospital was hit, disrupting critical heart surgeries and forcing young cancer patients to receive treatment outdoors.

President Joe Biden, in a highly anticipated press conference, robustly defended his foreign and domestic policies, dismissing concerns about his capacity to serve another term.

In France, a left-wing coalition won the most seats in legislative elections, successfully countering a far-right surge, though it fell short of securing a majority.

Iran’s runoff presidential election saw reformist candidate Masoud Pezeshkian triumph over hard-liner Saeed Jalili. Pezeshkian promised to engage with the West and ease the mandatory headscarf law amidst ongoing sanctions and protests.
