US service member dies in non-combat incident in Iraq’s Nineveh: Coalition
ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) - A US service member died in a non-combat incident in Iraq's northern Nineveh province, the US-led coalition announced on Saturday.
Nineveh is where the embattled city of Mosul is located, as well as many other areas where the Islamic State had control of between 2014 and 2017. Security incidents still occur in Nineveh with regularity.
