ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – The United States Institute of Peace on Tuesday held a conference to discuss the internal challenges and conflicts facing Iraq and Syria as they prepare for the road ahead after the defeat of the Islamic State (IS).

The conference, titled “Iraq and Syria: Views from the US Administration, Military Leaders, and the Region,” included US Administration and military leaders, senior Iraqi representatives, and regional experts.
