ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan24) – The security forces (Asayish) of Syrian Kurdistan (Rojava) arrested five officials of the Kurdistan Democratic Party-Syria (PDKS) in Girke Lege in Hasaka province on Monday.
An armed group of the Democratic Union Party (PYD)-led Rojava Administration Security Forces arrested three political bureau and two members of the Leadership Council of the PDKS in Rojava.
On Tuesday, supporters of the PDKS in some Rojava cities including Qamishlo, Amude, Girke Lege and Tirbespi protested against the wave of arrests by PYD security forces in Rojava against the officials and members of the PDKS and the Kurdish National Council (KNC).
Following the demonstrations, some protesters including a political bureau and members of the Kurdish Union Party were arrested by security forces.
The KNC leader, Ibrahim Bro, was extradited to the Kurdistan Region on Sunday, after spending one day in Asaiysh prison in Amude, Rojava.
Ibrahim Biro, head of the KNC, was arrested by Rojava Administration security forces along with the leader of the Kurdish Union Party Sleman Oso. Both were later released.
Asayish forces belonging to PYD-led administration of Rojava did not let the body of a fallen Rojava Peshmerga be returned to his hometown.

The coffin containing his body was initially stopped on the border of Peshabur between the Kurdistan Region and Rojava by Asaiysh forces. The body was later allowed to be transferred and buried in Rojava.
Following the funeral, Asaiysh forces arrested Hassan Salih, Deputy Head of the Kurdish Union Party.
Saeed Omer, Head of PDKS’s Relations Office in the Kurdistan Region condemned the arrest of his party’s members by Asaiysh forces, stating that "PYD is following the instructions of the Syria regime.”
