Peri-Khan belongs to the Kurdish Diaspora, born and raised in Bonn, Germany. She spent the last 8 years between Vienna, Austria and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq consulting on various development projects with the United Nations, Barzani Charity Foundation, international NGOs, and the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) related to capacity building, energy for development, and humanitarian crisis response. Peri-Khan also acted as an adviser for the KRG Ministry of Natural Resources, and has previous experience with organisations such as the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC). With an undergraduate degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Bonn, she completed her Masters in Advanced International Studies at the Diplomatic Academy in Vienna. Her latest project was to establish the KRG’s first Crisis Response and Disaster Management Center (JCC), working as Director of Information Management and Data Exchange.
