WATCH: Erbil hosts 12th annual international book fair

Erbil’s 12th international book fair was launched in the capital of the Kurdistan Region on Wednesday with thousands of books in different languages.

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan24) – Erbil’s 12th international book fair was launched in the capital of the Kurdistan Region on Wednesday with thousands of books in different languages.

The event was hosted in the Sami Abdulrahman Park where nearly 900,000 books, published in mostly regional Arab countries, were available.

Thousands of people visited the book fair which was opened by the President of the Kurdistan Region Masoud Barzani with the participation of several Kurdish and Iraqi officials.

The books are mostly in the Arabic and Kurdish languages with a few in English.

The fair is open from April 5 until April 15.
