IN-PICTURE: Kurdish contestant wins Miss Iraq 2017

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan24) – In a special ceremony held in Baghdad on Thursday, Kurdish beauty pageant Vian Amer Noori was voted "Miss Iraq 2017."
The 23-year-old Kurdish beauty pageant contestant is originally from the province of Sulaimani and is currently working for an insurance company in Baghdad.
“I will work to promote women’s rights in the country,” she told Kurdistan24 Correspondent Awat Khairulla in Baghdad.
Noori is the third winner since the Miss Iraq competition began.
Miss Erbil Sara Abdulwahid, who came in 3rd, told Kurdistan24 she has many plans in mind but that the main one will be founding a hospital for children who suffer from cancer.
