Peshmerga repel another PMF, Iraqi forces' attack southwest of Erbil

Peshmerga forces on Tuesday repelled the second attack of the Iranian-backed Shia Hashd al-Shaabi (PMF) militia and Iraqi forces in Makhmour, southwest of Erbil.

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) - Peshmerga forces on Tuesday repelled the second attack of the Iranian-backed Shia Hashd al-Shaabi (PMF) militia and Iraqi forces in Makhmour, southwest of Erbil.

Two PMF and Iraqi forces' Humvees have been destroyed, and a Peshmerga soldier was killed, according to Kurdistan 24 reporter.

The footage below shows Peshmerga forces in Makhmour confronting Shia Hashd al-Shaabi militiamen after the Kurdish Forces successfully repelled an attack Tuesday morning. A Peshmerga fighter can be heard telling the Hashd al-Shaabi troops not to be afraid and assuring them they would not hurt them.
