ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – In the village of Bistana, on the outskirts of Erbil, the sound of neighing horses mixed with music fills the air with positive energy amid the restrictions of the coronavirus pandemic.

In this calm atmosphere, Brayan for Equestrian, a non-governmental organization, organized a horse race to the beat of Kurdish music and folkloric clothing.

The organization was founded three years ago and includes women, children and men. It offers the equestrian sport annually, particularly when the season is changing from winter to spring.
