ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – The Iraqi Counter Terrorism Service announced on Tuesday the arrest of five ISIS suspects in an operation in coordination with the internal security forces (Asayish) in Erbil.

In a statement on its official Facebook page, the agency highlighted the "fruitful coordination" between the Kurdish and Iraqi forces as they captured the five suspected members of the terrorist organization. It did not provide any other details.

The Kurdistan Region has repeatedly stressed the importance of security coordination between Erbil and Baghdad to pursue ISIS elements and achieve security and stability.
