Kurdistan Region participates in the 19th conference of the Arab Towns Organization

ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – The Kurdistan Region’s Board of Investment on Wednesday announced its participation in the 19th General Conference of the Arab Towns Organization in Saudi Arabia’s capital Riyadh.

The board said in a statement that both the Director-General of Erbil Investment Saman Arab and the Deputy Governor of Erbil Masoud Karash are participating in the conference, which started on Monday.

The statement pointed out that the conference will discuss how to develop cities through the investment sector and provide job opportunities for young people.

On Monday, the Kurdistan Region’s Sulaimani governorate also announced the participation of a high-level delegation from the province in the conference.

In a statement, the Sulaimani administration said that the conference addressed the digital transformation of cities, environmental sustainability, partnerships in developing cities, and raising the quality of life for city residents.

Several urban developments and urban planning officials from various Arab cities and academics, specialists, and those interested in urban affairs attended the conference. They presented scientific papers that include creative visions and smart solutions that enable cities to adapt to changing conditions and prepare optimally to overcome the various challenges they face.
