PM Masrour Barzani meets with a delegation of Iranian officials

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – On Thursday, June 6, 2024, Kurdistan Region's Prime Minister Masrour Barzani received a delegation from the Islamic Republic of Iran, headed by the Governor of West Azerbaijan (Urumiyeh), Mr. Mohammad Sadiq Motamedian.

The delegation also included the Governor of Kurdistan, Mr. Ismail Zarei Kosha, the Governor of Kermanshah, Mr. Mohammad Tayeb Sahraei, and several other Iranian officials.

During the meeting, the discussion focused on strengthening bilateral relations, maintaining coordination, and enhancing joint cooperation in trade exchange, and facilitating movement and tourism between the two sides.

Additionally, preparations for receiving Iranian visitors heading to the holy shrines in central and southern Iraq were addressed.

Both sides emphasized the importance of consolidating and strengthening relations based on common interests.
