Iraq among top importers of Turkish pet food in 2024

The list of top importers following Iraq includes Saudi Arabia, Greece, Jordan, and Britain, ranking third, fourth, fifth, and sixth, respectively.

ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – Iraq imported over $7.4 million worth of pet food from Turkey in the first half of this year, making it the second-largest importer of dog and cat food from Turkey for this period, according to Manar al-Obaidi, head of the Future Iraq Institute for Economic Research and Consulting.

Al-Obaidi shared the information in a Facebook post, noting that "Iraq imported more than $7.4 million worth of pet food from Turkey in the first six months of this year and is expected to reach more than $20 million by the end of the year."
