UK will continue to support Peshmerga forces
ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – As a part of the collaboration and building relations that UK has offered to Kurdistan Region, to continue to build the relationship in different aspects with the Kurdistan Regional Government and its departments and organizations.
UK through its foreign organizations and departments that deal with the foreign and international affairs worked round the clock for the Middle East, especially, the Kurdistan Region.

The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office FCDO, UK Embassy in Iraq and Consulate General in Erbil coordinated with the Kurdistan Regional Government presidency office and its ministries.
The British Embassy in Iraq confirmed that the UK will continue to support the Peshmerga forces.

The Peshmerga Ministry announced through X (formerly Twitter, the social platform), the Chief of Staff of Ministry of Peshmerga Lieutenant General Issa Ozer met with Graeme Wearmouth, the UK military, Military Battalion and his accompanying delegation.

According to the statement by Peshmerga Ministry, the British assistance and coordination with Peshmerga forces discussed in the meeting, the UK Military Delegation in Iraq reaffirmed their commitment to continue to assist Peshmerga.

Also, in that meeting, the development of relations between the Kurdistan Region and the UK discussed as well as both sides emphasized that there is a need to strengthen these relations.
The latest progress in the reform process within the Peshmerga Ministry conferred, in this regard, the delegation confirmed they offer their support towards the process.
