Barzani Charity Foundation Opens "Daîk" Community for People in Need in Soran
ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – On Sunday, Mullah Mustafa Barzani and Sidad Barzani officially inaugurated the "Daîk" Community in Soran Independent Administration, a significant initiative dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities and those in need.
The community was established following the orders of President Masoud Barzani.
The Daîk Community, named after the Kurdish word for "mother," comprises six specialized buildings, including an Institute for the Blind, an Institute for the Deaf, an Autism Center, an Orphanage, a Nursing Home, and a Cultural Center.
The community's management and ownership are under the Barzani Charity Foundation (BCF), which will provide all services free of charge.
Constructed at a cost of over 2.5 billion dinars, the community spans an area of 11,000 square meters. The project broke ground on April 4, 2022, and stands as a testament to the BCF’s commitment to improving the lives of the most vulnerable.
The Daîk Community is poised to become a crucial resource for individuals with disabilities and others in need, offering specialized care and services in the heart of Soran.
