Turkish drone strikes target locations in Ain Issa

Turkish drone strikes on Sunday targeted the local security forces and a power station near Ain Issa.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) on Sunday reported that a Turkish drone targeted a power station in Ain Issa, putting it out of service.

Turkish drones also targeted a checkpoint of the Internal Security forces (also known as Asayish) on Al-Raqqah road in the vicinity of Ai Issa near a Russian military base.

On Saturday evening, Turkish airstrikes also targeted an oil field near Tirbespi and villages near Derik. Also on Saturday midnight, Turkish strikes targeted locations in northeast Syria.

The Turkish Defense Ministry also in a statement said they targeted targets on Saturday evening in northeast Syria and the Kurdistan Region.

The increase in Turkish drone strikes and air strikes come after 9 Turkish soldiers were killed by the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) on Friday.


The Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Saturday held a security meeting after the attack with senior Turkish officials.
