Kurdish physician, transmitted diseases specialist ranked first nationally, 232nd internationally

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – Depending on the report by the AD Scientific Index, the physician Dr. Nawfal Rashid Husen, a specialist in transmitted diseases and the Head of Zakho Medical College, became the best researcher in, ranked the first in Iraq and 232nd in the world.
In an exclusive interview with Kurdistan 24, Dr. Nawfal stated “according to Google Scholar webpage, I ranked 232nd among 1000 researchers in transmissible disease around the world, and first in Iraq”
Dr. Husen stressed the cooperation and support he received from the university teachers and students in the College of Medicine as well as presidency crew from Zakho University, was successful to achieve this degree.

He highlighted the local authority’s consistent support led to that great achievement. Zakho Independent Administration as well as Zakho University are the two local authorities in the area.

Dr. Nawfal Rashid Husen conducted more than 229 researches, mostly at Zakho University with physicians and students’ assistance in Duhok University, as well as his researches have been used more than 7300 times around the world.
