WATCH: IS’ three-kilometer-long underground tunnel in Shingal

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan24) – Kurdistan24 reporter Goran Shakhawan, accompanied by a Peshmerga Commander, travels to the Kurdish Yezidi (Ezidi) city of Sinjar (Shingal) to investigate a tunnel dug by the Islamic State (IS).

The Peshmerga Commander revealed that the three-kilometer-long tunnel was used by IS to hide from the international coalition air strikes as well as attack Peshmerga front lines.

The Commander also told Kurdistan24 that the tunnel was only 100 meters away from where the Kurdish forces were stationed in the city.
