ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – Traditions remain strong in a village in the mountains of Kurdistan Region’s Rania area.
The community in Sarkapkan—the village located in the highlands of Sulaimani province’s Rania district—maintains an agrarian lifestyle to this day.

They depend on farming, shepherding, and traditional, handmade tools to support their community.

Sarkapkan is located in a mountainous area, specifically to the west of Mount McCook, north of Karokh Mountain.
