The Iraqi Federal Government to be committed to employees’ payroll before Eid al-Adha
The Iraqi parliament issued the designated budget for the public sector’s employees and social care benefits in the Kurdistan Region

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – The Head of the PDK’s lobby and constitutional delegate in Iraqi Federal Parliament Vian Sabri in a statement to Kurdistan 24 Broadcasting on Monday “We are congratulating all the people from Kurdistan and Iraq, the voting has been in regard to the treasury, all the Kurdish people’s rights, with the efforts from the Prime Minister Masrour Barzani and the Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al Sudani, met,”
The sessions for the budge contented arranged to get the employees’, pensioners’, social sectors and civil services’ including Peshmerga and the security forces’ rights, have been disputed and agreed about at different consecutively for the year 2024 and 2025 budget.
“The final whole budget is defined which is 211 trillion and 900 billion Iraqi Dinars, in which 20 trillion and 910 billion ID for KR. Nearly, 11 trillion and 600 billion is for the public sector’s employees’ payroll and the social care benefits,” Ms. Sabri continued.
According to the interview with Sabri, almost, 960 trillion is supposed to receive monthly for the employee’s payroll and social care benefits sector.
The voting was successfully given on the agreement about the employees’ rights in the KR, it was reported that there wasn’t any objection in regard to the matters by the financial committee or the council of representatives.
“However, with the impacts of many factors on the budget for example the price of oil, the ongoing budget deficits, loans, social care compensations, and employees’ missing salaries,”
“We, as PDK lobby and constitutional delegates, in the federal government, work on the employees’, pensioners’ rights, loans, compensations, also follow ups and auditing and social care benefits, especially, delaying the monthly payment which significantly affect the peoples’ circumstances,” Sabri added.
“There is a good cooperation between the KRG and IFG. The Iraqi Federal Government is supposed and be committed to send the employees’ payroll in the Kurdistan Region before Eid al-Adha,”
