Investing, Holidaymaking Projects Revived Soran Independent Administration Economy

ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – In a series of interviews arranged by the Kurdistan 24, the Investing Projects for Holidaymakers in Soran Independent Administration was discussed, and the most updated information was obtained.
The investing project for holidaymakers that started 3 years ago, is ready now. It’s made of 32 touristic units and in the breathtaking areas within the border of Soran Independent Administration.
The support that the 9th Cabinet of the Kurdistan Region Government provided to the investors, led to flourish Soran Independent Administration, and it’s become a fast growing also expanding city.
“As a result of reducing the bureaucratic procedure, we managed to start 8 projects, a big-bite size has served the tourism side which are 4. There are 2 industrial projects and one for developing the education” Stated the General Manager Dlvan Omar MohamadAmin.

In comparison to the previous years, this city witnessed big changes, especially in tourism and the finance growing on the ground. The effects of the economy in the town can be noticed through the holidaymakers who flock to Soran city for its nature, location and services.
Director General of Tourism in Soran Independent Administration Faisal Sadiq explained to Kurdistan 24 “In the past few years the number of tourists increased by percentage, beside that, another big action was noticed which was to differentiate between visitors and tourists, as they were not like that before i.e. all would be considered as the same,”
“Now, we see more people stay over in the city, we identify them as holidaymakers. The rate is getting higher in all seasons, especially, in summer and winter” Sadiq added.
