Duhok governor announces new projects in Amedi to facilitate reconstruction, return of residents

ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – On Tuesday, Duhok Governor Ali Tatar confirmed that Prime Minister Masrour Barzani has approved several significant projects for Amedi district aimed at encouraging residents to return to their homes and distancing the region from past conflicts.
Tatar stated: "The Prime Minister has given the green light for the implementation of multiple projects in Amedi, with procedures to commence shortly. We are committed to rebuilding the area and are prepared to address any challenges that may arise during the reconstruction process."
He further emphasized: "We are confident that these projects will lead to better achievements and services for the region. Additionally, the 130 individuals affected by recent conflicts will be compensated. It is our responsibility to support them, and we hope that the hostilities which hindered the region's development will come to an end."
Tatar also highlighted President Barzani's commitment to ensuring the safe return of the region's residents. "Following Prime Minister Masrour Barzani’s visit to Amedi district, several development projects have been initiated, which are now benefiting the local population," he added.
