ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – The Kurdistan Region received a generous donation of medical aid worth approximately $500,000 from Saudi Arabia on Saturday, announced Kurdistan Region Health Minister Saman Barzanji.

During a joint press conference with the head of the aid delivery team from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSRelief), Minister Barzanji detailed that the aid, facilitated by the KSRelief through its consulate, consisted of 5 tons of essential medicines and other medical supplies.

Barzanji extended his heartfelt gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for this timely assistance.

He underscored that this donation is part of an ongoing commitment by Saudi Arabia to support the Kurdistan Region's healthcare sector, with previous contributions including vital medical devices and supplies.

Furthermore, the minister revealed that Saudi Arabia is poised to provide strategic medical equipment valued at $4 million to the Kurdistan Region in the near future.
