Licenses given to touristic services, places in Soran Independent Administration  

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – Soran Independent Administration is one of most touristic zones in Kurdistan Region. That area in region has the highest number of holidaymakers and natural pleasing views, according to the information by the Soran Tourism Directorate. 

Tourists can explore and find any of those too many places also services within the administration border.

Some of those touristic services did not have licenses. However, in return of that, the touristic services owners requested for building further roads and accesses, to facilitate the whole service to the holidaymakers.  

“One of the wills the Prime Minister would like to make is for Soran to become a fascinating and amusing tourism area” Soran Director of Tourism, Faisal Sadiq stated to Kurdistan 24.

"There were 20 to 30 tourism licenses in the zone, yet now it’s reached up to 156 tourism licenses" sadiq further said "that has been a positive point to make the tourism sector focuse on the holidaymaking services, businesses, the quantity and quality of the services thus to reach to high standards." 

Gardi Mohammed, who runs a service in a touristic place, revealed to Kurdistan24 “once we heard that the Prime Minister issued an exemption and lowered the tax on small business, I applied for the license according the requirements”

It’s been announced by the local relevant authority on lacking of services permission and licenses, Prosecutor General can issue a sentence on the owner or the service runner.

According to the information by the Director General of Tourism in Soran, following Prime Minister’s decision regarding tax exemption and discounts, more than 150 services and places received their licenses. “That is a good opportunity to increase the number of holidaymakers in the region”.
