Iranian President Pezeshkian officially invites KDP President Masoud Barzani to visit Iran

The invitation was made during Pezeshkian’s visit to the Kurdistan Region, following his arrival in Iraq on Wednesday.

Erbil, Kurdistan Region (K24) – On Thursday, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian extended an official invitation to Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) President Masoud Barzani to visit the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The invitation was made during Pezeshkian’s visit to the Kurdistan Region, following his arrival in Iraq on Wednesday.

In Erbil, President Barzani received the Iranian leader, where they engaged in discussions about the broader political landscape in Iraq and the region.

According to a statement from Barzani's office, both leaders exchanged views on key regional issues and underscored the importance of strengthening political, economic, and cultural ties between the Kurdistan Region and Iran.

"The Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian officially invited President Barzani to visit the Islamic Republic of Iran," the statement confirmed, highlighting the ongoing efforts to deepen bilateral relations and coordination between the two sides. 

This meeting reflects the continued engagement between Kurdish and Iranian leadership, aimed at fostering cooperation on matters of mutual interest.
