President of Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani met with French Ambassador to Iraq, Patrick Dorrel
In the meeting, the French relations with Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, latest progresses of the talks between Erbil and Baghdad to resolve issues, the situation in Kurdistan Region and the Kurdistan parliamentary general elections were discussed.
ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – President of Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani met with Patrick Dorrel, the French Ambassador to Iraq, on Wednesday, September 25th, p.m. the local time in Erbil.
Kurdistan Region (KR)’s President Nechirvan Barzani and French Ambassador to Iraq, Patrick Dorrell as well as the Consul General in Erbil Yann Braem expressed hope for a peaceful campaign and successful voting process.
In the meeting, the French relations with Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, latest progresses of the talks between Erbil and Baghdad to resolve issues, the situation in Kurdistan Region and the Kurdistan parliamentary general elections were discussed.
All parties agreed that there are further opportunities for French relations with Iraq and Kurdistan Region to improve with different ways.
Especially, trades and economic exchanges, in this regard, they exchanged views on opportunities, steps and joint cooperation.
The French Consul General, Yann Braem in Kurdistan Region, attended the meeting too, while defending the importance of the elections for the Kurdistan Region, he hoped for a peaceful campaign and the voting process to be held successfully.
The situation in the region in general and several other issues of common interest were also discussed.
