ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – The Prime Minister Masrour Barzani attended SMC company’s opening ceremony, on Wednesday in Erbil.
In a statement, the Prime Minister expressed his delighted feeling to open the second industry today, and stressed that “the Kurdistan Regional Government is trying to reduce the need to import goods, also highlighted that the Kurdistan Regional Government is ready to assist any investors who want to invest in the industrial sector”
The transcription of Premier’s speech:
“In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I am glad that this is the second industrial factory, we are visiting today. This factory is for making syringes, which is important in terms of health to help the industrial sector, especially the health sector. That is a shared job between those parties, Kurdistan would less need to import such items abroad.
We will try to, from now on, to increase making such items in Kurdistan to develop the health sector, which leads to create more job opportunities, as a result to improve people’s lives and welfare of the Kurds and develop the economic sector in the Kurdistan Region.
Of course, the more our people can work in such factories, the better their income will be, and the more they can benefit from the experience and expertise in those fields and expand their scientific capacity in various places.
I congratulate the operating company for this important work they have done, I hope they will continue to succeed and more examples to come up.
I hope every investor, anyone who can invest in Kurdistan to develop the industrial sector, rest assured that the government will help them, we will support them.
Whether to facilitate the establishment of their investments, establishing the factories they want to work in, protecting their products as well as finding ways to export their products.
So that we can create a better trade balance between the Kurdistan Region and other countries.
I congratulate you once again, may you always succeed and Kurdistan will continue to prosper”
