Two important health centers opened, cornerstone was set for Kidney Dialysis Service
The total budget that has been allocated to those three services, is more than 8 billion and 700 million dinars.

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – On Sunday, an opening ceremony ran for Thalassaemia Patients Center, a health center of Dinarta Subdistrict and cornerstone of the Kidney Dialysis Center in Akre District.
The total budget that has been allocated to those three services, is more than 8 billion and 700 million dinars.
Dr. Saman Barzanji, the Minister of Health at the Kurdistan Region Government, Dr. Ali Tatar, the Governor of Duhok, Dilawar Harki, Mayor of Akre, Afrasiab Musa, the Director General of the Health in Duhok attended the ceremony.
“The Thalassemia Center was a very important project for us, we are sure it will provide a lot of services to the patients with thalassemia in Akre and Bardarash districts, which are almost 250 patients, and their families will no longer have to take them to other cities for treatment” Dr. BArzanji stated in a press conference on Sunday.
According to Minister of Health’s statement, in that new Thalassemia Center in Akre, tests will be done with better quality in laboratories and patients will be served in the best way.
He stressed that upon Prime Minister Masrour Barzani’s recommendation, health projects continue in both Akre and Bardarash districts and there is plan to operate several other health projects.
