Housing units 'small symbol of gratitude', says PM Masrour Barzani
"It is a very small token of appreciation in return for the sacrifice you have made for your people and country. Nothing can compensate for your sacrifice except God Himself," the Prime Minister highlighted.
ERBIL (Kurdistan24) - On Sunday, the Barzani Charity Foundation (BCF) hosted an event titled "Hope and Smile Platform," attended by Masrour Barzani, the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. During the event, 540 housing units were distributed to the families of martyrs, honoring their sacrifices.
Prime Minister Barzani addressed the attendees, emphasizing the guidance and vision behind the initiative.
“The ceremony was held based on the recommendations, orders, and instructions of President Masoud Barzani, who has always considered himself indebted to the proud families of the martyrs. This sentiment extends to all the people of Kurdistan, making us all feel indebted to you. It is our duty and pride to serve you,” he expressed.
Regarding the provision of 540 housing units to the families, the Prime Minister acknowledged that the gesture is a small symbol of gratitude.
“It is a very small token of appreciation in return for the sacrifice you have made for your people and country. Nothing can compensate for your sacrifice except God Himself. May He reward you in this world, as He has made you proud, and in the hereafter as well,” Barzani remarked.
Prime Minister Barzani underscored the challenges faced in supporting the families of martyrs, stating, “Whatever we do for the proud families of martyrs is too little. Unfortunately, due to the local and regional situation, we may not be able to serve you as much as we would like. Nonetheless, serving the proud families of martyrs has always been at the forefront of the government’s agenda and the priorities of the Barzani Charity Foundation (BCF).”
He further highlighted the efforts made to support these families, saying, “We have tried to do what we can to facilitate the lives of citizens, especially the proud families of martyrs. This includes providing facilities, health supplies for those in need, and educational opportunities for the proud children of martyrs.”
The "Hope and Smile Platform" event reflects the commitment of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and the Barzani Charity Foundation to recognize the sacrifices made by the martyrs and to support their families in meaningful ways, despite the region's challenges.
