The commission also dismissed rumors circulating about the potential leak of voter information, affirming that the voting process will remain confidential. IHEC emphasized that citizens’ votes are private and will not be shared with any party, including the commission itself.
In its statement, IHEC urged political parties and candidates to uphold peace and avoid any actions that could disrupt the electoral process. It also reminded voters to adhere to its guidelines, including a ban on bringing mobile phones and cameras into polling stations to ensure the integrity of the vote.
