German Consul General congratulated President Barzani on holding successful parliamentary general election
The German Consul was welcomed by President Barzani in Pirmam-Salahaddin on Wednesday, in the session, Wittke described the election as an important step for the Kurdistan Region towards a new political stage.
ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – In an announcement made by the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP)’s Barzani Headquarter that the German Consul General, Albrecht von Wittke congratulated the KDP President Barzani on the successful holding of the sixth round of the parliamentary general election in Kurdistan Region, on Sunday, October 20th, 2024.
The German Consul was welcomed by President Barzani in Pirmam-Salahaddin on Wednesday, and in the session, Wittke described the election as an important step for the Kurdistan Region towards a new political stage.
The session also exchanged views about the political situation and the latest developments in Iraq and the region.
The relations between the Kurdistan Regional and Federal Iraqi Governments were discussed, as well as the steps after the Kurdistan’s parliamentary election took place, conferred too.
The formation of the new government was another important enquiry, discussed between both parties in the meeting.
President Barzani wished success to the new German Consul General in Erbil with his responsibilities and job role, HE also hoped that relations between the Kurdistan Region and Germany would go forward further.
