PM Barzani condemns attack on Turkish Aerospace Industries

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) — Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani strongly condemned the recent terrorist attack on Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) in Ankara, expressing solidarity with Turkey in the aftermath of the violence.
In a statement posted on the social media platform X on Wednesday, Barzani said, “I condemn the terrorist attack in Ankara. I conveyed my condolences to Türkiye Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. My thoughts are with the families of the victims, and I wish the injured a speedy recovery.”
The attack took place in the Kahramankazan district of Ankara, where two armed individuals targeted the TUSAŞ facility. According to Turkish media reports, one of the assailants detonated explosives during a clash with security forces, leading to a deadly exchange. Five people were killed, and 22 others were injured in the attack. Both gunmen were killed in the confrontation.
The incident has raised concerns over the resurgence of violence in Turkey, and officials have vowed to take swift action against any terrorist threats.
