Kirkuk deploys over 5,600 researchers for nationwide census

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – The Kirkuk Statistics Directorate announced on Wednesday that 5,652 researchers and supervisors are participating in the nationwide census process across Kirkuk province.
The Directorate commended the cooperation of Kirkuk residents in the census, emphasizing that locals in the province’s towns and villages are providing accurate information to the census teams.
“The residents of Kirkuk province and its towns and villages are cooperating with the census teams and providing them with accurate information,” the Directorate stated.
Officials highlighted that the census is being conducted under strict security measures to ensure the process runs smoothly. They added that all necessary steps have been taken to address potential obstacles that could affect the accuracy of data collection.
This marks Iraq's first nationwide census in nearly four decades, a significant event aimed at gathering essential demographic and socioeconomic data to guide policy and development.
