ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) - Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) President Masoud Barzani arrived at the American University of Kurdistan-Duhok on Friday to participate in the fifth Middle East Peace and Security Conference (MEPS 2024).
The conference, which is being held under the media sponsorship of Kurdistan24, commenced on Friday and will continue through Saturday, Nov. 23, 2024.
The high-level gathering has attracted 124 academics and experts from 40 different countries, with 73% attending for the first time. The conference program includes various panels and workshops focusing on current global and Middle Eastern affairs.
The MEPS conference has established itself as a significant platform for regional dialogue and policy discussions. President Barzani's participation underscores the Kurdistan Region's commitment to fostering international dialogue on Middle Eastern peace and security issues.
