President Masoud Barzani attends graduation ceremony of Peshmerga’s 89th Forces

ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – On Tuesday, with President Masoud Barzani in attendance, the graduation ceremony for the 16th Command Course of the Peshmerga's 80th Forces at the Erbil Infantry Training Base was held.
The ceremony marks another landmark in the continuing modernization and professionalization efforts within the Peshmerga forces, which have been instrumental in maintaining security in the Kurdistan Region and fighting against ISIS.
The 80th Forces embody one of the key units of the Peshmerga, Kurdistan Region's official military forces, which have undertaken noteworthy reforms and training programs in recent years as part of wider efforts to systematize and improve their capacities.
President Barzani, who led the Peshmerga forces during critical periods including the fight against ISIS, continues to play a vital role in supervising the growth of Kurdistan's military abilities.
