ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Berlin is set to host the second congress of the Kurdish Diaspora Confederation (KDC) this weekend, under the theme “Our Unity is Our Victory.”

The event, scheduled to take place on Saturday and Sunday, will bring together Kurdish organizations and centers from all four parts of Kurdistan, underscoring a commitment to unity and collaboration.

Barzan Hassan, Kurdistan24's correspondent covering the congress, highlighted that participants aim to reflect on the confederation's achievements and programs over the past three years. “The congress will evaluate the work and initiatives undertaken, while also setting the stage for strategic planning for the next three years,” he stated.

A significant aspect of the congress will involve appointing new figures to leadership roles and committees, marking a fresh phase for the KDC's activities in Europe. According to Hassan, the organization will continue its mission with a renewed vision and an enhanced structure.

Shifa Barzani, representing President Masoud Barzani—who serves as the General Supervisor of the KDC in Europe—will attend the congress, lending further importance to the event.

The congress aims to foster unity among the Kurdish diaspora while advancing collective efforts to address the challenges facing Kurds worldwide.
