ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region Government (KRG), Masrour Barzani attended the celebration of the Qatar National Day (also known as Founder Day), at the Consulate General of the State of Qatar in Erbil on Monday.
During delivering his speech at the ceremony, the Consul General of the State of Qatar to Erbil, Hussein bin Ali al-Fadala stated "I pass on the Amir of the State of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani's gratitude to you, the relationship between the State of Qatar and Kurdistan Region is historic"
The Consul General of the State of Qatar to Erbil highly valued the official senior's visits occurring between Kurdistan Region and the State of Qatar, as well as highlighted their gratefulness to the Premier's attendance in that pivotal event, the same as participating in the opening ceremony of the Consulate General of the State of Qatar in Erbil back in May 2024.

The KRG Prime Minister, Masrour Barzani accompanied by a number of governmental officials participated in the opening ceremony of the Consulate General of the State of Qatar in Erbil in May, 26th, 2024.

At the time, in the opening ceremony the Premier highlighted the efforts to promoting the bilateral relations between Kurdistan Region and the State of Qatar, in various respect, especially in the trade, agriculture, cultural related matters and higher education.
The Prime Minister also stressed that the State of Qatar in investment, prosperity, reconstruction, energy, economic progress and improvement, has a successful and rich experience, the Kurdistan Region can benefit from the State of Qatar's invaluable experience in those areas.
The Kurdistan Region is a stable and peaceful region and at the same time the nature and geography of the region is very favorable for investing in various aspects, especially in agriculture, tourism and industry, "we welcome and support a variety of investments, which are in the government’s agenda in regard to the economic diversification" The Premier said in the opening ceremony
