Iraqi Parliament to question eight ministers, officials amid governance scrutiny

The ministers facing parliamentary questioning include those heading key ministries: electricity, communications, oil, transport, trade, and education. Also, heads of Investment Authority and Communications and Media Commission will be summoned.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Iraq's Parliament is set to summon six cabinet ministers and two heads of independent bodies in its upcoming legislative session.

The ministers facing parliamentary questioning include those heading key ministries such as electricity, communications, oil, transport, trade, and education.

In addition, the heads of the Investment Authority and the Communications and Media Commission will also be summoned.

A parliamentary source revealed that while the parliamentary presidency has approved some questioning requests, others remain under review.
